As another reminder, Scott Walker did not campaign on Act 10. He conveniently left that out and “dropped the [Act 10] bomb” in February.
So before you go calling us Florida of the Midwest, ma’am, we’ve been fighting the absolute ghouls of the Wisconsin GOP for well over a decade and we’re fucking tired. Assembly leader Robin Vos and his obstructionist ways make Mitch McConnell look like fucking Pollyanna.
And might I add that one of the first post Trump elections was the April 2025 Wisconsin Supreme Court election, and despite the Muskrat’s money and FLAT OUT BRIBERY, the liberal justice (Susan Crawford) won by a LOT??
Our fight for fair maps took well over a decade after the GOP gerrymandered themselves into a SOLID majority in 2011.
The Government Accountability Board was one of our crowning nonpartisan achievements that other states modeled, and Scott Walker destroyed it.
Our state was known for squeaky clean government and two parties that got along and ALL OF THAT was destroyed by Scott Walker within just a few months after YEARS of bipartisan leadership.
Fox News lied about the protests being violent (they weren’t) and showed footage of it (with palm trees in the background because that sounds exactly like Wisconsin … in February).
BTW OLD LADIES GOT ARRESTED FOR SINGING IN THE STATE CAPITOL.
But second do you not fucking remember #wiunion and our fight against Act 10 and Scott Walker and obscene gerrymandering and how Wisconsinites SHOWED UP for weeks in protest? In 2011???

I saw a reel from a liberal content creator originally from Minnesota this morning where she decided to start out her reel by insulting Wisconsin and calling us the “Florida of the Midwest” and while I know there are many other things of which to be mad about, NGL that just made me ragey.
