More importantly, since 2016:
💪 25 🇪🇺 countries have announced coal phaseouts❗
💪 61% of coal plants across the continent have shut down❗

Geopolitical tensions might be high, but it's important to remember how far we've come.

Solar and wind met all electricity demand growth, leading to a slight fall in fossil fuel generation | Ember Solar and wind outpaced the growth in global electricity demand in the first half of 2025, resulting in a very small decline in both coal and gas, compared to the same period last year.

For the first time on record, renewables have generated more of the world’s electricity than coal.

Let that sink in.

This is a sign of how cheap renewables are transforming the economics of power generation.
