they were :) i read genres i don’t normally read (romantasy is not my first choice and i read three books from a series of romantic fantasy!) and i read some science fiction. i don’t usually love that. im grateful i read them all.
hm. can i share honorable mentions? Monstrilio and Our Wives Under the Sea were both centered on grief, and i felt both were beautiful. The Correspondent was really delightful and i appreciated its format. Heart the Lover left me reflecting a lot on past lives in a way that makes living sweeter.

i am coping with seasonal depression by reading a lot and i’ve read 15 books so far this year and it’s all i want to do until spring comes and the sun comes out again
i just finished my 12th book of the year (and also just remembered bluesky exists)
my birthday is tuesday and if my tits aren’t frozen from feet of snow, i will perish from disappointment
