I'd say SOTR is worth playing if you find the time. I like the DLCs especially, I think those have the best traps and puzzles in the game. And yeah Abby is an important side character there, can't miss her once you see her.

Hold up, you... killed the monks?๐ฑ
You wrote "reimagining the original Game (1996)" and that's Tomb Raider Anniversary. Yes, even if they did it a year late, it's literally called an anniversary ๐
Rebirth (or rather, a reboot) is what Legend was, yeah. Also Eidos was the publisher, I think you meant not made by Core Design.
I think you mistook it for Tomb Raider Anniversary.
It takes place after Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Abby being with Jonah is probably the biggest giveaway.
I... didn't know that! That's useful!
Yeah, simply letting us use two, each for a different weapon, would be nice too.
Right, perhaps they could give an option to sort it into smaller groups, it always takes too much time to find what I'm looking for (feel like I always start scrolling to the wrong side๐).
I also wish there was a shortcut for moving laser sight from crossbow to revolver and back.
Tbf I don't use it much either, mostly in the case normal/explosive arrows. But I've seen someone use the flash grenades and it actually did look quite useful, or at least fun. But I'm not much for strategy when it comes to TR combat๐
Oh yeah I love how Cairo looks remastered! (I mean, I don't even mind playing it, after I get through City of the Dead๐) They added so many details that also made it more "logical" such as doors.
Also it took me until almost the end of the game to find out that I can switch the type of ammo simply by pressing the number for the currently held weapon again. Oh well ๐ #TombRaider
Tunnels under the mastabas, original graphics. The walls and ceiling are completely flat.
Tunnels under the mastabas, remastered graphics. The walls and ceiling are all wiggly and uneven, looking like actual rocks.
I finally decided to finish #TombRaider The Last Revelation Remastered (Did I stop for almost a year after reaching Cairo? Noooo of course not.) and the mastabas tunnels were everything I hoped them to be!
The Lost Valley (2024-2026)
A few days late but here's February's painting! A tribute to Lara Croft and the original Tomb Raider game and its iconic level The Lost Valley ๐ฆ
Started this back when the first remaster was released and after at least a dozen different versions it's FINALLY done ๐
When you dive, once Lara is falling straight down head first, you press the roll button. I'm sure you can find videos on YouTube but maybe you'd like to see it for the first time when you do it yourself. And she can do it more than once if the fall is long enough๐
It's a very good reason to play the games again!๐ Do you also know about the somersault you can do if you dive from a high enough place?
Haha I'm not surprised! ๐ I'm sure it'd look great, you look amazing with the others!
I can imagine! That's how I actually found out the move exists at all, because I was walking through barbed wire and then wanted to pull myself up ๐
Melissa Croft from Tomb Raider Anniversary Edition.
These are all great, but with that name, there's one outfit she should definitely do at some point ๐
Yeah checkpoints with autosave really only first appeared in Legend (2006).
Haha fair. Sometimes I get too daring and press the walk button too late and fall down from somewhere anyway, even if I did press the correct button.
There are no checkpoints, it's better - you save manually wherever you want ๐
But falling into the bear pit is a classic experience, cherish it!
Good good. And then she showed the dance to her parents - I can't tell if they'd be horrified or glad that she's partaking in something that's not dangerous for once ๐
I knew about his PhD but this drawing is a better illustration of it than anything I could imagine๐
Warner Von Croy plays the trumpet in traditional Austrian dress while Lara bows her head in defeat
Apparently Von Croy has a PhD in musicology and I insist his thesis was about Austrian folk music #laracroft #TombRaider
Well, it's always possible ๐
So it's actually not that bad! Just don't skip the normal upgrades. Guess it could be problem for people who've never played AoD before and don't know where the upgrades are and skipped them by accident.
I got a reply on the video and apparently the softlocking can be caused by missing the usual upgrades. You still get an upgrade by every "I feel stronger now" but because you can upgrade in other ways too you might end up skipping the "normal" upgrades and accidentally softlock yourself through that
And the statues aren't even boss fights!
Spider Willard will always be the scariest one (mainly because I only saw the Torso when I was much older). And the fact that he has one-hit kill shots that never miss is just a deadly cherry on top ๐
From Natla to Bartoli and the Atlantean Torso, which boss fight lives rent-free in your head from Tomb Raider IโIII Remastered?

You could try Tomb Raider Level Editor then ๐ Or, well, the fanmade TombEditor is a better choice nowadays.
Oh awesome! Shame with the possible softlocking, but that's exactly what I expected. I imagine they'd need to add more opportunities to upgrade during the game to avoid it, and that'd probably be too much for "just" a remaster.
