I soured on the last one, because l thought the new heroes, "The Core Four", were obnoxious selfish character & with only Gail returning, there was no heart in it.
But all of the other films have held up a mirror to their current pop culture & made it horrifying, so I'm still on board.
But someone's terrorizing her with obscene phone calls and 💀 threats!
And no one believes her!
Nothing groundbreaking, but a well made stylish romp.
Supporting performances from Myrna Joy and Dame Roddy McDowell add to the gaslighty fun.

Gorgeous Southern Gothic drama with horror undertones set in the Louisiana bayou on a former plantation about dark family secrets coming to light in the summer of 1962.
(To be fair, l knew nothing of geechee culture beforehand, so I'd recommend doing a quick Google on it and their Boo Hag legend beforehand.)

The story, while simple, is extremely well told and steeped in geechee gullah folklore which adds richness.
