Ahhh, ok, now I see the gap in my understanding. Thank you. I will go do my homework now! I did my UK PPL under JAR and sometimes don't know what I don't know.
I wondered if that was the point, that it was GA and that flight schools aren't tightly regulated. But really, not a single recommendation, so that teenagers flying with low-hour instructors at least know they've been vetted.
