I can imagine.
Did a little climbing way back in the day. When I worked at the local ski mountain, got trained for lift evacuation. We used climbing gear [in reverse] and it was way different from what I had used before.
Modern sailboats are much simpler to control.

It is. We started this class in mid-January. So we have had time to slowly learn the lines.

Learning the names and locations of all the sail control lines.
On my boat, I have 4 lines that I use almost exclusively.
One sail can have 13 or more lines to control it. And there are 8 sails.

I am thankful for the extra lights on my car. Fog lamps front and rear. It never cleared today. Pea souper around home all day.
Painting plan seemed to work. 🤞
