#NowWatching Tales From the Crypt: Demon Knight (1995 Ernest Dickerson) I have never seen Tales From the Crypt, but I am a true Zaniac to this day, so this will undoubtedly scratch an itch. A very weird itch. Will probably not finish this tonight, but it certainly starts with a bang.
I'm laughing so hard at some of this. This might be the most I've laughed at a movie in years. The tank.
Yup, totally understandable reasons!
Man, I still need to watch that! It's on the to-do list....
I'm only 25 minutes in and it rules so hard. Clearly taking notes from Fury Road.
But disappointed he's fighting Russians instead of Nazis but ho hum, otherwise this is off to a great start!
#NowWatching Sisu: Road to Revenge (2025 Jalmari Helander) I did not expect this movie to start with our hero brazenly entering Soviet occupied land to retrieve his house.
Wow, 15 years ago, you can see me dimly on the far right playiing guitar and rapping badly
Finally, some good news. He should get the award every year
I'm totally the opposite! Don't find horror novels scary at all. Weird.
Yup, he's just...around. Although his transformation into Marlon Brando for that movie a year or two ago was kind of remarkable. Surprised that didn't get more buzz
That would be a different kind of movie. Might be good though!
Not a bad film at all! Really couldn't understand the hate around it.
lol I am aware. That's a shame you can't enjoy horror movies or games etc like they're intended.
#NowWatching Dead Calm (1989 Phillip Noyce) Remember when a film made the whole world Zaniacs, and then he went on to do almost nothing of note afterwards (Yes, I know he was in Titanic). For a brief second, people looked at this and thought he was the next big thing. Turned out that was Nicole.
If Stanley Kubrick had employed Michael Wong at any point, my position on him would have just miraculously changed.
Ahhhhhhhhhhghhh!
I am astonished this post hasn't gotten a Bluesky Prude mod label lol
Of course man, if we were all into the same things life would be very boring! As long as we can all agree on one thing...Michael Wong
I dunno, I've watched The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, Clockwork Orange, Spartacus, Dr Strangelove and none of them really landed for me.
Playing the new Resident Evil game but only in 15 minute bursts cause I've turned into a big scaredy cat.
Haha if Kubrick made Scanners it would have been boring and had only metaphorical exploding heads.
I've got another answer for this! Anything by Stanley Kubrick. Like, I can objectively see he was a good filmmaker, but I'm never watching any of his movies, they are boring as shit to me for some reason.
Actually yeah, I don't like E.T. either!
