White Out! If you're living in Newfoundland right now and look out your window chances are pretty good that all you can see is white. Snow and ice blanket the landscape, it feels like we will never touch grass again. I know that's how I feel! I've heard many people say that this is an old fashioned winter, like ones they experienced when they were young.

We Stand On Guard For Thee I love Canada, but I love my province more. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying we shouldn't have joined confederation in 1949. What I'm saying is that being from Newfoundland and Labrador sometimes makes me feel a little disconnected from the rest of the country. We are the youngest province in regard to when we became a part of Canada.

For sure! I have many of them written down. Sometimes the measurement of an ingredient is “oh a bitta this, or a handful of that. Whatever you think!” Those instructions can be tricky. 😆

I have a little bag of medals similar to these, given to me over the years. ☺️ I take them out every now and again and look at them, brings me comfort. For me, it’s mainly about the sentimental connection to the people who gave them to me.
