Fine @robwdavis.bsky.social piece @propublica.org on how anger, conspiracy theories and poor state messaging doomed Oregon's wildfire risk map. www.propublica.org/article/oreg...
The administration wouldn't clarify what's different about this list. oregonlive.com/politics/202...
NEW 🗺️: DOJ releases a new list of "sanctuary jurisdictions" with 12 states, 18 cities and 4 counties. A previous list had 14 states, 200 cities and nearly 400 counties. Portland and Oregon remain on the list.
My friend Dave has restored a sweet '68 912 coupe in Irish green, so if you're a car nerd with some American green to throw, check it! And don't miss the video in the BaT listing bringatrailer.com/listing/1968...

Tom Homan asks “where is that line,” as if it is mysterious or unknowable. It’s not. Tom’s saying it that way because he’s too much of a coward just to say “she should be arrested for telling people their rights.” Also, to be fair, he may be too dim to understand the line.
This feels like a subplot in a '90s mob movie. "You work for US now, mayor."
To not understand (as VP!) that normies (even those that voted for you) will quickly tire of and begin to resent the onslaught of chaos requires a level of terminal Online Brain that is quite remarkable.
Yeah potential big revenue stream for him there
omg that would be amazing
Glad to see @wsj.com readers exercising a bit of self-care in their media consumption
I can’t tell you how much I’d rather spend the next four years listening to British podcaster dudes talk about the effects of lorry logistics and railroad gauges on the German invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941

You: Distressed your favorite childhood show is 25 years old.
Me: Still sometimes inadvertently thinking of “Infidels” as “new” Bob Dylan.
Ranked-choice voting survived in Alaska — barely. It prevailed by a mere 664 votes, and would have been repealed were it not for areas with large populations of Alaska Natives provided the winning margin against Measure 2.

Democrats have the majority for less than two more months. I'll be using every second to push for passage of my PRESS Act to protect journalists from government spying and surveillance.
I mean you clearly have no clue how newspaper press runs work, but they don’t print the whole Sunday paper at once. Different sections require different press configurations for color/ad placement. So advance Sunday sections are run earlier in the week when the press isn’t busy doing the daily run
You think there were more CD stores in 2001 than there are places to buy the Sunday NYT? You heard of Starbucks and 7-11s and the whole rest of the country where today’s National Edition was on various presses before the shooting even happened?
He might be our greatest poster
As Steve Earle famously said: “Townes Van Zandt is the best songwriter in the whole world and I'll stand on Bob Dylan's coffee table in my cowboy boots and say that.”
