L is for Learning (sort of)

A photograph of a gift come garden store display located roadside somewhere in Maine. An archive image from 2025 it is principally of a baby or young child’s head made from a white porcelain type substance and about the size of a large orange. Notably it’s a little worn as if it’s an ancient artefact but it might be contrived. It is surrounded by more commonplace gift store wares, vases and ornaments of various sizes and colours. I like its gentle macabre nature.

A photograph ostensibly of a row of 9 (fully visible) beach huts situated facing a car park (for accessible badgers holders) and in a range of traditional UK beach (seaside) colours and designs. Two strings of bright red, decorative paper lanterns are strung across a street, presumably to celebrate the Chinese new year. The lines are anchored to the first-storey window ledge of a mid-terrace townhouse. The building is built on a slope, opens directly to a footpath and faces an iron railing. 1 of the biggest draws for me using those RNI film presets is the fact that most parameters of control are well within range of being creatively useful & you have to push them quite far in order for them to suddenly look gaudy. For this Fujifilm RAW file, I used an Agfa Optima preset in Capture One.

Now furry friend, the trouble is, if someone says ‘don’t’ it often prompts the opposing response. 😱

I nearly blew my inner ear structures, more used to those 9 Inch Boys or more still The Queens of other times!! 🤩😱🤣
