Trump's demands for strategic metals from Ukraine remind me of the way gangsters demand protection money. Nominative determinism that he was named Don.

@sotontestclp.bsky.social hello!
Christmas starts right now. The Great Escape is on.
Mum just down the road from you says it's lively, so stay safe
@baratheongirl.bsky.social take care in the storm.
I hope there is better response from public sector this time, understanding targets are what public want, not political whim. Under last Labour government there were NHS trusts fiddling procedures to hit targets, rather than improve services. Public are demanding better services

Maybe because middle class women of a certain age are in a position to call out this shit without fear of losing a salary they need. And can do it on behalf of young women starting out in their careers who are just as sick of this shit but canβt say anything because they need to earn a living.
Great to meet so many at first coffee morning. βοΈ From crime to assisted dying, we covered a range of local and national issues.
Itβs invaluable hearing from residents so big thank you to all who made time.
Keep an eye out for a letter inviting you to a coffee morning soon! βοΈ
Shame. Take care of yourself. Sounds bloody awful
Jeez that sounds terrible. Have you seen a doctor or spoken to the NHS phoneline?
Worcester Sauce lookalikes
Does it sound like serious flu. Take care x

Blasphemy laws have no place in the 21st century. Faith is a matter of individual belief and should play no part in the state
Good Morning. π
In 55 days, this building will become the epicenter of corruption on our planet.

A bot with lots of numbers after the name and someone saying he's a bot. They're piling in again
My doubt about the number of shops is that we're constantly told retail is tough but vape shops are growing when they rarely seem busy and often have no customers at all when you walk past. Like barbers, nail bars etc. It's a mystery how they have any cash to bank each day
The LibDems are always banging on about it ( I wonder why?), got the AV referendum and public rejected idea 2 to 1. Of course LibDems want another system because it gives them more MPs... sorry, because it's more democratic.
The Labour Campaign for Electoral Reform grew out of a group formed in the 70s. So discussion has been going for 50 years at least and they can't agree on a single system. That's one reason the debate has gone nowhere. Plus public aren't really bothered.
Well, afraid this phenomenon is so widespread, even us hicks out in the sticks have our share of barbers vape shops, phone accessory shops and convenience stores that survive despite rarely having customers.
"Over a million people signed the people." Wow. Well, in the GE, the Tory vote was about 7 million. The fact a million of them have signed a petition is not a world-shaking thing at all.
That is my favourite drive down there. I hope they can get the slopes shored up.
@baratheongirl.bsky.social Thank you for the follow. Mum ( over in Bryncethin) showed me pictures of the Bwlch. Looked horrendous.
