A lot more people should know about the bravery Marimar Martinez displayed in the midst of Chicago’s occupation and the murder of two observers in MSP. They tried to kill her, shooting her 5 times, and it’s a miracle she’s alive to push for transparency like this after being persecuted by the DOJ.

It actually seems like at the most generous interpretation even if the police are not actively & ideologically in cooperation with ICE, police are actually deferring to ICE's authority on the field, which, if they are an illegitimate operation masquerading as police, that's even worse.

You could actually structure your moral code around the idea that law enforcement doesn't exist to execute people. You don't have to create perfect victim narratives, you can just refuse to accept that the state gets to kill people.
