Then you get a transfer case that feels significantly lighter, and you know why instinctively.

It reminded me of how transfer cases for the remains of our fallen service members feel pretty similar in weight because it's distributed among the whole casket team.

With most transfer cases, you don't feel a lot of variance.

I read tonight that one of the soldiers killed in Trump's War on Iran hasn't yet been positively identified by medical examiners.

Spain fired back immediately that Trump's White House is lying and reiterated non-cooperation.

These deaths were preventable. These deaths are the result of the negligence of the Trump administration.

And more will come if Congress doesn't put a stop to this.

Both of much of the far-right and much of the far-left want you to turn on the Jewish community in this moment because of Netanyahu's disgusting actions. Don't give them what they want. These people suck and should be ignored. Focus on the illegality of this war and demand Congress put a stop to it.

It wasn’t politicians starting that war—and the journalists and pundits and warmongers who didn’t serve enabling them—who paid the price.

It was our military and innocent civilians who did.

The problem here is that I’m old enough to remember what happened the last time the U.S. ventured into the Middle East without much of a coherent plan for what happens after the bombings stop.

I think it’s great the Ayatollah was killed and most of the Iranian regime removed and I would love for the Iranian people to be free in a peaceful government of their own choosing and for Israel to be safe and for civilians across the region made safer than they were before all this took place.

Things get a lot more dicey and then quite terrible when the consequences of military action are not negotiated with thoughtful longterm planning, which we clearly lacked in Iraq and Afghanistan — and even moreso now, by several magnitudes, with Iran.

Everything’s mostly peachy in the early days when American might is being brought down on terrible people and the American public are reminded that we have the most powerful Armed Forces in the history of the world.

At least three U.S service members have already been killed. They should be alive right now and three families shouldn't be receiving a personal visit by military officers informing them their loved ones have been lost in a military operation that wasn't authorized by Congress.

The question is how bad do things get during the fighting—and I’m convinced we haven’t seen the worst of what’s to come—and then what happens after the cessation of this current phase of military action.

Those are our NATO allies, and they are anything but enthusiastic about joining in this nonsense. Not good. Really not good.

Yeah, Iran will ultimately lose this fight. That’s a foregone conclusion.

They also hit UK and French bases in the region, both of whom are trying to play things cool at the moment because they understand the illegality and precarious nature of the situation. Spain immediately condemned the military actions and ordered U.S. military aircraft to leave its bases.

Predictably, Iran has unleashed an ongoing barrage of deadly strikes at Israeli civilian areas but also lashed out with hundreds of missiles at neighboring Gulf nations, mostly directed at U.S. military bases but also civilian areas in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
