I think a lot of it is because more people are avoidants than they realize.

Just saw someone refer to the “male loneliness epidemic” as the “male consequences epidemic” and I just think that’s so much more accurate.

Black people are not a societal problem. Racism against Black people is.

But for those who acknowledge they've done harm, apologize for that harm, change the behaviours that caused that harm, And seek to make sure others don't cause the harms they themselves have caused? What else is repair and transformation if not that?

…But it is also the case that those directly harmed are under No obligation to accept anything at all from those who harmed them, no matter how heartfelt.

And those facts have to sit in tension.
