This art features 100 bees of various colors and shapes.
These bees are designed in a cartoonish style, based on real species. The common name or species is written below the animals.
Some bees are moving leaves, scraping plant hair, or sticking out their tongues. Some male bees have hairy faces and unusually shaped legs. There are also baby bees that have just hatched from their petal nests. Cute and colorful atmosphere. There are over 20,000 species of bees, so I only depicted a very small fraction of them!

I used this pic. today as part of my intro to adaptation in my UG class. I get students to guess what the pic shows and what it's for. I've done this w. other traits in prev. years to highlight how adaptation get us asking about function/purpose of traits in ways we dont do with nonliving things.

This Sea Slug Can Chop Off Its Head and Grow an Entire New Body--Twice It is one of the โ€œmost extremeโ€ examples of regeneration ever seen

This photosynthetic magic trick allows for the big finale: some sacoglossan sea slugs can detach their own heads from their body (which contains the gut!) & live on photosynthesis for a few weeks while the body regrows from the head!

The body, unfortunately, cannot grow a new head.
