And then when those liberals listen to the leader who said they could leave… they’re lambasted as extremists… I’m so tired of these people questioning my patriotism… it’s repugnant.

Knew you’d like tearing it apart 🤣
@stephenkb.bsky.social thought you might enjoy this one…
A load of waffle… these guys have been running the country for 18 months… on current trends they’re about to hand the country to proto fascists… they really need to shut their traps.
On Europe too… which was him selling out the only thing he actually genuinely believed in
It’s difficult decisions for left wing/liberal people… I thought they’d made that pretty obvious… Mahmood rolled it out last week as well…
The Starmerites have reached this point of desperate already…. Roll on the shellacking in May so we can finally get rid of this awful PM before he hands the country to proto fascists
Many of whom are still angry about our behaviour post Brexit (from exceptionalism to the Irish Border to the expected cakeism to not reading the deal we agreed to even now trying to set the terms of any deal)… we’re in a worse position thanks to that moronic decision yet it’s architect could be PM
They seem to think we all want to hear about how idiotic we are, how soft we are, how much patriotism we lack and how we don’t know how the real world works despite a lot of us being/coming from successful people… unsurprisingly a lot of people have decided a good kicking is in order for Starmerism
Don’t agree with all of Clive Lewis’ politics… but this is fantastic www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
I mean I think again it’s probably just mp’s gobbing off their frustrations… he was away more than any other prime minister in their first year… I get the realities of the role but i think it was a reflection of frustration more than anything… then again some mp’s are just idiots…
Don’t think they’re necessarily morons… think it was reflection of the frustration felt about his seeming lack of any domestic policies that helped those at home who were struggling… poor domestic performance combined with the realities of needing to be away is a pretty toxic combo.
Still think the greens would have won…
But weirdly takes into account Aspire who don’t end up represented on the final tally despite it saying they’ll hold the council
Live on a pretty middle class (for London) street in East London… Labour sent their councillors door knocking in February… this is normally a place they don’t bother knocking at all… having chatted to neighbours many of us intend to give them a good kicking.
Pass this on Tory votes… they won’t it’d bring the government down
As someone whose football club is in Greenwich… there are real worries in Labour about it… it’s not massively demographically different to the councils across the river except for in the make up of its minority vote… if the greens are appealing to those voters… watch out
@umakumaran.bsky.social
If Starmer is silly enough to do this… I don’t think he is btw, as woeful a PM as he is… the cliff edge for the Labour Party awaits
Which is the why the red lines on Europe and on tax were so incredibly disastrous…
Isn’t it partly the interpretation? The rule specifically mentions “to gain an advantage” the palace goal in the week… how does the length of his nose constitute an advantage?
Do 100 mp’s fit in a room?
The difference compared to the same chapter in GB’s autobiography (who has apologised for that decision) is really striking
The Iraq chapter in that book is absolutely wild… like skin crawling levels of arrogance and self belief
The Blue Labour lot still don’t get it… their inability to do basic electoral maths really is impressive… completely tin eared… www.politicshome.com/opinion/arti...
Annoyingly I think Burnham was about right… we needed to Leave but softly… would make it much easier to rejoin than now… especially as we have a government that both handicapped itself (because politically it’s stupid) and is timid… at least someone is making the argument.

What do you mean? Being progressive on a number of issues doesn’t mean I’m happy to give tax money away to those who don’t have a right to be in my country?
Nice to know people in Omaha really care about UK immigration policy… maybe focus on your own?
Yeah… can’t disagree with this take at all
Or maybe when you start something by lying (My 10 Pledges to You) and it’s successful it’s hard to stop lying?
