National Transportation Safety Board member Todd Inman, who was the NTSB's initial on scene spokesman at the deadly midair collision over Washington, D.C., last January, has abruptly departed the agency two years into what is typically a five-year term.
There are going to be Republicans running in many places who will go out of their way this October to point out to voters that they never asked for Trumpβs endorsement. Susan Collins will top the list.

Screenshot of an X post by HasanAbi commenting on how to discuss trans issues with median voters. The post quotes Marco Foster, who says the anti-trans campaign in Maine is funded by an out-of-state billionaire to distract from tax discussions and notes that very few trans kids compete in high school sports there. Below is a podcast-style video still of a man speaking into a microphone.
When you hear them target any vulnerable communityβimmigrants, trans people, refugeesβask first why they're trying to distract and divide us. Don't fall for it.
Still crazy that the presidentβs lawyer spent two days with Ghislaine Maxwell, she βclearedβ him of wrongdoing and was almost immediately transferred to a more pleasant prison and nobody in the administration will explain it and the media acts like two large dots are just impossible to connect.

Chris Murphy: "I think it's likely the United States that carried out this attack on this school. I think it's unforgivable under any circumstances, but the fact this was one of our first targeting decisions speaks to the incompetence of our leadership at the Dept of Defense."

How many countries will Trump bomb, how many will he try to destroy, in order to avoid accountability for his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and avoid the reality of his accelerating physical and mental decline?

Disgraceful from Tapper. The US is not spending a billion dollars a day on troops. Itβs spending it on missiles and jet fuel.
Not since Adolf Hitler blew his brains out in a bunker beneath the garden of the German Reich Chancellery on April 30, 1945, have the lives of so many people around the world been so buffeted by the psychosis of a single man. β @djrothkopf.bsky.social

Oh. Oh my.
A good example of why we need answers about strategy: We're destroying refineries and oil production. If the goal is to immiserate the Iranians and cut off their income, fine. (Not great thinking, but understandable.) But if it's regime change...uh, they're gonna need that rebuilt. So why do that?
For years, strategists have warned national leaders against the temptations of "victory disease," the belief that winning battles means they're winning the war. Leaders throughout history have made this mistake, and Trump seems to be making it now.
