A PUZZLE involves problem-solving. I use logic or clues to discern the necessary info to solve the puzzle correctly

A FETCH QUEST involves acquisition. I go get stuff to operate something. I don’t need to think about how to operate, I just need to get stuff to do so. Little/no logic is needed

I beat RE9. I’d rank it in the middle of the main #residentevil games, good but not the best

But let’s wake up a conversation Capcom needs to have, there’s a DIFFERENCE between a puzzle and a fetch quest

So I got RE9 since this past week was so annoying. It’s fun, I’m not finished yet so I’m not 100% how I feel altogether.

No spoilers, but there’s a part with lots of nostalgia, & it feels like it’s a bit overkill 😅 especially an unexpected occurrence and I’m like “oh, we’re doing that now again?”

So yeah…I’m pissed. I tried hard af to pick up the energy and interest for them all week. And it feels like slap in the face both from my students and the school.

Their shenanigans make me look bad, and now are probably gonna hurt my chances of asking for a raise.

What pisses me off is their survey feedback - the class isn’t fun, we need more fun and games.

It’s test prep…it’s not designed for fun and games like a regular level class is.

That’s what happens when you put students in this class which have no actual interest in what the class is for 🙄

But, since 2/3rds of the students are leaving, it’s been like pulling teeth to get any of them to do anything in class.

They have “senioritis” - where it’s your last week in class, so you give no effort for any work, because you won’t be there next week, so your mind is already checked out.

So that’s why 5/8 students are leaving, they’re going to the C1 class and I’m happy for them, they need that higher level class because they clearly have no plans to take this English proficiency test.

The other 3/8 are also leaving to go to a non-test prep class.

My class is test prep for a specific English proficiency test for immigration/credentials.

The problem is my school keeps putting students in my class who have NO interest in taking that test, but they get put in here because we have no C1 class.

Until now, next week the new C1 class starts.

I hate making negative posts. Originally, I was sad that 8/12 of my students were leaving this week to go to a different class, but now I’m actually pissed at them.

2-3 weeks ago, I was rated ~95% as a teacher, we did a survey again this week with the same students and it plummeted to 82.8%.

In all, I did test positive for some of the allergies I already knew I had: pet dander & dust allergies

But, because I didn’t react as heavily as he wanted for his narrow definition, so many of the other allergens I have regular issues with were either cast aside or never tested altogether 🙄

In no way am I dismissing anyone who has allergies to the anaphylactic level, but just because I don’t hit that extreme doesn’t mean my daily life of sinus issues & asthma should just be passed over

I have hay fever multiple times a year, dust & mould trigger my asthma *bad*

I’ve lived almost daily with itchy eyes & sinuses since I was a kid
