@twiliruler.bsky.social Walking past the ominous figure, Link narrowed his eyes..
"That being..?" A hooded figure was approaching, the sound of metal clanking while walking.
"Right." Link hummed, standing to exit the hall and head into a courtyard or sorts. He didn't want to damage anything here, including the flooring. So, outside was the best option.
"I wouldn't dream of it.." Gripping his dark cloak, he stood and pulled the shrouded cloth from his form, revealing the rest of his attire. Before her was the Hero Of Time himself, clad in all green with a shield and sword at his back.
The Princess had told him a few stories, learning of the Four Sword and things of that nature, but that history was so ancient to him. Attention brought back to the animal before him, he shifts his weight to his side, hand on his hip. "Pleased to meet you, then.."
"Zonai..?" He repeated, having no knowledge of what that was or what he meant, but nodded along anyway. As for incarnations, this was also news to him, completely unaware of his place or the scope in the grand scheme of time and destiny. Although, it wouldn't surprise him much.
//I just fell to my knees and threw up
"I suppose I'm not surprised Rauru is a royal family name. The Princess told me she comes from a long line of Zeldas.. Impa as well."

"Being a hero doesn't reward you with praise, so, don't worry yourself with it. It's a thankless job." A stern nod, Link's serious expression was unchanged.
"I was in the middle of a quest before.. you detoured me, so I continued on. I'm not too sure what could've happened, but I can assume everything worked out. The people of Termina have hearts of gold.."
"Well, the flow of time is cruel.. you really don't know where or how you'll end up. Drifting apart.. it becomes natural." His eyes locked on the fire, it's reflection seen in his.
"Hey--.." He covered his ears with a soft glare. "Leave my ears alone..", sneered before looking at the steel she wields. Eyes trained on the blade, he glances over at her a few times.
"Yes, I see. Perhaps a quick spar is in order.."
Removing his hood, Link's face was revealed to her. Blond hair, blue eyes, a big green hat, and big, pointed ears.
"I'm quite used to having companions, but danger seems to follow me around." He added, sharp eyes on her as she beamed before him.
His brow twitched.
"I keep getting called that, but no. Kokiri is what I thought I was.. until it was revealed that I am a Hylian." He wasn't lying, that was his truth..
"The Kokiri have fairy companions, live forever, but can't leave the forest where we're raised. No one can enter either."
"Well... I was raised by a tree, and lived in a tree house in the forest in a society of all children..", he may sound insane, but hear him out.
"One day I was summoned by my father, the Deku Tree, learned my destiny, fulfilled said destiny.. and have been roaming since."
"It's very complicated, but know that I don't have a home to return to. There's a reason I roam.." Link answers before cutting his eyes to look at her as she pops and cracks her back. ".... I can help your back--" It sounded tight.
I guess the spirit has mellowed out after torturing Link for an infinite 3 days. That's alright.
The blond had a small smile, then shrugged. "Can't complain too much. Drifting, mostly.."
"... Echoes of Skull Kid, I assume? He liked that song quite a bit, too." Recognizing the voice, Link's eyes look up at the demon.
Bringing the instrument away from his lips, he kept a rather stoic expression.
Maybe you could hear it..?
The sound of an ocarina rang off. Link, sitting before a campfire, was playing a song he learned from the forests back home.
Back where he's from music is said to be magical: it can change the weather, summon the sun and moon, take you places, and connect you to the spirits. It calms him.
His eyes were low, mostly watching her kicking feet as he looked as if he was sulking.
Slowly looking up and over at her, he shook his head and returned his eyes to the ground. "It's complicated." It'd be tough for someone to understand, time travel, saving the world from evil. It's too much.
It almost looks like he glides over, sitting beside her on the bench. He remained silent, though, exhaling as he sat beside her.
--..he was a bit taken back by how far behind he's left those realms, but it wouldn't be the first time he's crossed worlds like this.
He won't let it bother him for long. "Are you here to worship?", he asked, turning towards the blonde.
Link, on the other hand, had his boots on regardless of where he was. How silly..
"... Link." He replied, letting her hand go as he turned to look at the statue once again. Stepping ahead, he'd walk up to it with a gentle squint in his eye. Hyrule had goddesses, Termina worshiped giants..
What a peculiar girl. Her robes were rather fancy, down to the cloak, but she was lacking footwear. Up and down his eyes went, but a gloved hand came out to meet hers. A firm shake.
"Pleased to meet you, Celica. Adventurer. A wanderer.."
Blue eyes scanning the area, the landed at the feet of the statue before gazing up towards the head. Link hummed.
"I've wandered far..", he murmured. This was nothing like Hyrule. "I see." Is all he said before turning to her. "Here's to hoping. I hope the Goddesses shine down on you.", he added.
