As I emerge from the haze COVID has wreaked upon me over the past week, I'm embarking on a journey I've long imagined.

Finally reading Meditations and attempting to deconstruct my notion of a book as a sacred, untouchable, and unsulliable object by returning to annotating.

On my way out the door to grab some groceries and noticed some Mourning Doves on the neighbor's roof. Fortunately they stayed there long enough for me to frantically run inside and grab my camera and telephoto lens ❤️ didn't even notice the cloud trails until I was editing.

Twice a year, I rediscover that I am a digital hoarder who never deletes anything, and twice a year, I rediscover that I never organized anything in a way that made sense. I probably have every photo that I've ever taken, but good luck finding it.

But I can kinda get similar effects in Lightroom with color profile adjustments. The main thing is the light will never quite match, but the colors are probably close.

Struggling to settle on a single edit is my forte.

Going back through my finsta posts and realizing 80% of them are captioned some variation of, "idk what's happening, not vibing". I still carry that energy today, but I like to think I can articulate its source a little better.

I've got a silly idea for a photo series. Me and Jenna always say "That's us" in relation to two inanimate objects that are close to each other. I've been seeing pairs of items more on my little journeys, and it might be interesting to try to capture some unique pairings.

Rang in the first day of summer at a local greenway and walked away with some nice shots. Wish I could go out after work today, but a nasty storm is rolling in.
