The chef πŸ₯— First illustration of a sci-fi series, for which I've had sketches lying around for so long.
How does the painting feel to you? Would you like to see more of this overgrown world?

hello #portfolioday
I'm in my every-decade identity crisis, so I'm just a gal with fanarts, currently working as a comic artist with a motley art background, including traditional and 3D art
Nice to meet you all

A pencil illustration of Hades and Persephone. The two are embracing, with Hades appearing sad and Persephone reassuring. Crocuses bloom in the foreground, and Persephone's hair is also full of blossoming crocuses; both a sign of the approaching spring, which perhaps is why Hades is sad. It's time for Persephone to return to the upper world!

I got this drawing of Hades and Persephone finished up today as well. I'll adjust the color and contrast in photoshop and get it printed on watercolor paper to start painting! 😊 (I also see a few proportional issues to fix before proceeding 🀨)

I really wish I had a printer so I could print images to practice from traditionally. Practicing fundamentals just doesn't work as well for me on a screen as it does on paper.

But it would be a luxury expense right now, boooooo

You don't have to be high to have an original thought, you know. Especially if you're practiced and good at visualizing original thoughts and it is your job. It's a skill that doesn't need devaluing.

It's pretty lame whenever people see inventive media they always tend to say "what drugs were they on", "I want what they were having" or "People really just used to have drug trips and say write that down. We'll put it in a movie."

When really, it's just artists being great at their jobs.

I dislike taking vacation days even when I need them, because people don't delegate stuff I would usually do to others in that time, they just pile it onto my desk. Meaning that I'm immensely behind schedule immediately after coming back and no context to any of the work that's to be done

Took three days off from work, just came back. There's two weeks worth of tasks piled on my desk like a mountain and the computer is broken and won't let me log in. Sigh

I am an illustrator and I also make pictures with my own hands for animation and games sometimes.

I still adhere to the old-internet rules of not sharing personal stuff with strangers when it isn't necessary. It's almost like people expect their parasocial relationship to be handed to them on a platter these days, lmao

I feel like it's a reality that if you post your face on social media you might get more popular more quickly, but personally I like it a lot more when people don't show their faces. And I absolutely never want to be forced to show mine. Why would strangers need to see anybody's face?
