Oh absolutely for sure. I think this effects the sfw side of furry way more too. Niche art like furry has been commodified now more than ever. There's also just so much competition and less free money to go around. I know at the end of the day, if I had money, it wouldn't matter.

It's honestly the first thing Disney's done that I want to see in ages. I keep dismissing their originals but I think they make the marketing bad on purpose at this point.

they don't differ all too much between facial structures when drawing them. So when people commission me, they assume it'll be the same way.

So I give him bushier brows, a bigger snoot, crooked teeth. The issue then is I think they saw one picture of a fox I drew, liked it, and then assumed that I draw all foxes in a similar way.

Possibly! I also think a lot of it is that I try not to draw any face the same way. So sometimes I'll draw a fox that has well, let's say softer features. Maybe they're young so I make them more adorable. But then someone commissions me to draw their fox and I see them as this rugged, weathered man.
Thank you ;w; I mentioned this to someone else but I feel bad like I'm trying to garner sympathy and compliments. But it is nice knowing I'm just a little too in my head.
I definitely want to draw! I just feel guilty not posting here or opening for commissions. Like I'm afraid I'll: post my art > people will want a commission > I'll send them a wip > they'll ask for tons of style changes til it's not my style anymore > I post it > now that's the style people expect.

art down. I felt it during art fight and I feel it still now. I just want to draw in a way that makes me happy. I don't want to change myself even more just for profit.
I also feel like I have to keep everything consistent if I want to sell art. I feel like I can't experiment anymore.
I'll be honest, I haven't been super active because I'm sort of burnt out. I want to do more commissions, but the last few I took on, I kept getting told that the way I drew faces was too "ugly" and I should make them look more Disney.
