A new study by @heloisefrouinmouy.bsky.social and colleagues uses passive acoustics and 3D tracking to characterize acoustic and diving behavior in beaked whales off Louisiana, showing differences between species in timings and depths.

Hello, I’d love to be added! My work focuses on marine mammal acoustics, notably pinnipeds. I use their sounds to study acoustic behavior & migration patterns. I also employ creative approaches to collect acoustic data when tagging isn’t feasible, such as using acoustic drone or tracking recorders.
