Time for Azov to lead the way to Azov

Kushner is neither a diplomat nor an intelligence analyst, why the hell did you ever appoint him to lead delicate international negotiators you absolutely ludicrous buffoon?

Since you did, you are accountable for the decision, so own it.

All fair points. If we want due process for suspects and an adversarial criminal justice system, it's hard to see how Judges will not find it reasonable that enquiries are made to find out whether there was a previous relationship etc. Giving rape victims 'independent legal advice' won't help.

Ridiculous, not least because $80m is a drop in the ocean compared to the damage which would be caused if Russia got the oil revenue to create more destructive weapons.

That's the problem. They do, and then the victim, and the charities supporting them, complain that by 'following all reasonable line of enquiry' as required by the law, personal victim information is examined to see if there has been a prior relationship with the suspect or other relevant material.

It won't help, unless you find a way to stop Judges throwing cases out because they agreed with a defence argument that police did not comply with CPIA 1996.

The English criminal justice system is "adversarial". The Criminal Procedure and Investigation Act 1996 requires police to 'follow all reasonable lines of enquiry', and when a case gets to court the defence will say that should include checking the victims personal info. The courts are the problem.

Great job. There are some nice beaches about 150km south of here, ..... and summer is coming.

Jury Trials:

Labour MP Turner is reported on BBC as saying the "right to be heard before a tribunal of their own people" had "existed for something like 800 years". Just ill informed rubbish.

Over 80% of offences are not decided by a jury because they are 'summary only', or 'either way' offences.

Just for context. The vast majority (over 80%) of criminal cases are not heard before a jury. Although the bar for using a jury may be raised, many years ago someone invented the terms 'summary only', and 'either way' offences, and there hasn't been a huge Labour rebellion about it.

100%.

Embrace the Euro, Schengen, FoM. They are actually brilliant creations which allow seamless trade and travel throughout Europe with no rip-off currency conversion rates.

100 Labour achievements

100 Labour achievements

I'm constantly baffled by people particularly the media and a handful of Labour MP's who manage to completely ignore the achievements of this Government to date. Not expecting universal agreement but the many, many positives are never mentioned, I seriously don't understand why.

Welcome. All I ask is, don't sell us to the nearest passing oligarch.

He's not allowed to say the words is he.

"...we simply must, now, ask our EU friends whether we can fully join their Single Market, and what steps we must take to do so"

She's fired up, and every word is true.

"Special relationship? They are just abusing us"

Starmer did absolutely the right thing by defying Tr*mp's bullying, and it is clear the British people absolutely agree with him.

But Mr Graham, what did you think Kushner got his 2bn dollars for? The Saudis own your moronic president.

100% UK decision. Norway Switzerland Iceland are in the scheme, we could have stayed in it but for the idiot, spiteful Johnson. Mindless Tory dogma was more important than saving thousands of ordinary British people a few hundred pounds a year.

killed their healthy pets.

They killed their pets, not 'put them to sleep'.

I'd go a little further, but BlueSky probably wouldn't be happy.

09.03.2026 15:55 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yes absolutely. It was pure Tory dogma and spite that caused Johnson to remove the UK from the scheme. Their hatred of anything to do with the EU, and dogma over ECJ oversight has raised your cost of living.

Labour can reverse this. There is no requirement to be an EU member join the scheme.

Oh really? Your boss said that he must also 'approve' the new leader, which means he wants regime change and a Government which will be supplicant to the US.

I expect you mad religious fanatics currently setting American foreign policy will also require that Iranians become evangelical Christian?

Garda, and in particular the small, beautiful lakeside town of Bardolino. A perfect base to stay, where the ferry can take you across the lake to other towns such as Salo, Sirmione or Desenzano, and also you are within easy reach of Verona for a day or evening trip.

Sadly no. I always have my dog with me so we have to sit outside 'con la povera gente' and listen from behind the Arena walls.

Here is a photo of the night the Opera reopened after Covid. A very special event, with many important people arriving to celebrate this wonderful Italian institution

Do you think this section paves the way to join the Pet Passport scheme?
Animal health
Alignment with EU animal health frameworks will affect [.....] pet owners, [....]. It will update areas such as surveillance, identification, registration, and movement systems of live animals, etc...

Most Sunday afternoons, when the parking is free. I love it, a lazy walk along the Adige, followed by sitting in Piazza Bra with a spritz, watching the opera goers walk past, is a perfect way to spend a warm early evening.

Yep, I don't disagree. In my heart I would rather he had denied the use of RAF Fairford.

However, I'm cautious because I don't know the legal situation and I'm cutting him some slack, because through no fault of his, UK is inextricably reliant on the US for strategic defence (Trident). It's a mess
