The GoFundMe for my dad after his stroke raised enough money to cover my parent’s expenses for a while. Thank you to everyone who helped out.
My dad is recovering very well. Each day is a bit better. He’s exercising, playing a ton of music on his guitar, and watching Star Trek.
Misinformation in real-time: After my dad’s stroke (he’s recovering very nicely), my grandmother with dementia posted on Facebook:
“(My Dad) HAD A HEART ATTACK.”
He did not have a heart attack. My uncle had to call the facility my grandmother lives in and get one of the nurses to change the post.
A 100 pound yellow dog is helpful with any task.
My mom told Davis that he couldn’t stay on my parent’s bed while the sheets were getting changed, so he’s REALLY upset.

I want to be clear that this is not a comment on that awful school bombing strike. That's a pretty clear cut war crime or AT LEAST gross negligence/incompetence, which is also, surprise, a war crime.
I'm not going to comment on anything specifically, as I would be torn limb from limb in the comments, but there seems to be absolutely no fact checking going on during this war.
Taking the US government's and/or Iran's word on anything at face value is a dangerous exercise.
An older guy I worked with at Home Depot wore a "COLD WAR VETERAN" hat all the time and drove a chromed-out Hummer H2 with a bunch of army veteran stickers all over it. He was a nice guy and I generally liked working with him, but oh boy, he had some insane opinions about the world.
