This ash Wednesday my colleague and I and others offered ashes to go i our church parking lot. 90 people came by including university students and preschool parents. Awesome day. Had to explain Ash Wednesday to a few of them.
Don’t think so. The text doesn’t read that way. Apparently the Hebrew is even clearer. Lord is of course used in place of YHWH. And it doesn’t even use the generic El for the high god.

Here is one of the most interesting biblical insights I’ve run across years: chapter 32, verses, eight and nine, it states that the high God gave to the Lord, that is the God of Israel, inheritance of people of Israel. Wait what? A God above our God.
No probably not but I know that I won’t be hold off past 2 weeks.
