Another winter storm moving through Nova Scotia to add to the others! Might be a late spring.
Sea ice for as far as you can see here on the northern coast of Nova Scotia.
Edge of the old growth, Abraham Lake nature reserve. Acrylic on panel 7 x 8”, 2026. I used to love to visit this old relic forest, from a day I snowshoed into the lake and got to visit far shoreline, where there was no trail, by snowshoeing around the lake edge.

Tiny works continued. Bright clear dawn on a snow covered lake edge. Showing at Argyle Fine Art. #preshrunk2026 next Friday. I enjoy making these small intimate paintings. I start with a stroke and never know where they will end up. Always inventing and problem solving, pushing into the unexplored.
