Yesterday, Finland and Poland both announced their intentions to leave the treaty in the coming weeks.

I didn’t have the honour to know him personally. The initiative of his annual lectures in the College of Europe in Natolin was launched after I graduated, but I was personally touched by his intelligence, his knowledge, empathy, call for action to fight indifference while watching on the screen.
