Had the pleasure of seeing Brown Horse perform live recently, supporting Courtney Marie Andrews in Bristol, thought they were excellent. I’d never heard them before.
Yeah it was busy, there was about 6 of us in there. I’m so glad it’s reopened, the perfect spot for a decent beer when you’re waiting for a train 😊🍻
Well that’s a shame DD as I was in there this evening too! One day we might meet up!

I wouldn’t eat any vegetables till I was about 12, mum had to hide them in things. It’s a popular reminiscence in our family that I once told her I wanted an ice cube for my tea.

A lovely walk today in the valley parks of Exeter, 6 miles, quite steep and muddy in parts, I’m completely exhausted but it was very rewarding 🥾

Bristol Animal Rescue Centre, a really excellent mural of people taking care of their animals. Couldn’t capture the whole thing and the photo doesn’t do it justice. Brilliant work.
Two skilled glassblowers at Bristol Blue Glass factory, they are rolling glass in the ovens. It is hot work. The blue glass is beautiful, upstairs the shop is full of gorgeous items. Sadly the factory has to move soon, due to their lease not being renewed. The council has apparently found a new site but it is a worrying time for them all.
Dog in a hat and jacket on a stool behind the bar in the Swan With Two Necks pub, which is a great pub.
Electric Crane 31 at Bristol harbourside which I had the pleasure of operating for a short while at the Docks Heritage Weekend last year.
Some final photos from #Bristol at the weekend: a truly wonderful mural, glass-blowers at Bristol Blue Glass, a most excellent dog and my favourite (or maybe second-favourite) crane.
