Should the queries be sent to printrunpodcast@gmail.com? I’m worried my email may have gone astray.
I’m finishing up Jennette McCurdy’s I’m Glad My Mom Died, and just started Nevada Barr’s Track of the Cat, book 1 of the Anna Pigeon series. 🐾

I didn’t run my first mile until I was 30. Now I’ve completed distances from 50k to 100-miles. No, I don’t stop to rest. Yes, I poop in the woods. Yes, there are bears. I’m also a novelist, and had the unhinged idea to write an ultrarunning romance. CATCH THE GIRL, querying now. #unhingedpit #q #r
Promotional poster from 1992’s Cutting Edge movie, with a male hockey player skating with a female figure skater.
Promotional poster for the 1979 movie Meatballs. Bill Murray surrounded by beautiful women at the entrance to a summer camp.
Fleetwood Mac rumours album cover. Mick Fleetwood has really weird balls hanging from his belt that look like testicles, and Stevie Nicks (superior musician) is dressed as Rhiannon.
Tagline for Catch the Girl: a hotheaded feminist and a cautious, recovering addict are forced to share a cabin at a 1978 ultrarunning camp, leading to an opposites attract, grumpy vs. grumpier story about overcoming gender stereotypes and taking a second chance on love.
If 1992’s Cutting Edge had a love child with 1979’s Meatballs, with Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours as the score, the resulting #unhingedpit fever dream would be CATCH THE GIRL, the story of two people who accidentally fall in love while training to run 100 miles. #histsportsromance #q #r #ultrarunning

California, 1978: Women aren't built for distance running. At least that's what everyone says. There's no Olympic ladies' marathon. Stores don't sell women's running shoes, and sports bras don't exist. But Jo Schwartz is determined to become the Western America 10ơ's first female finisher. In order to win, however, she'll have to get around Mike Pritchard...and stop staring at his broad shoulders and muscular butt.

To all the Yeti volunteers. They bagged my socks and taped them closed under my shoes. Their quick medical attention saved my frostbit fingers after the race. A stranger took care of me as I laid on the bathroom floor, incapacitated and hypothermic. Ultras aren’t just miles, they’re community.
30 miles at the TARCTIC Frozen Yeti. During a snowstorm. Temps dropped to -10 after dark. Hard-won, but I’m proud of my effort! ❤️ #ultrarunning #runners #newengland 📸 by Chris Arson Photography

Could I sign up to judge the “published” division if I plan to enter the “unpublished” contest? Thanks!
@breefram.bsky.social I heard you on NPR’s 1a today and thought you were incredible. Thank you for sharing your story, and for your bravery while serving the US. Americans like me are behind you!
“This is a highly subjective industry, and although your book isn’t the best fit for me, another agent may feel differently.” Also, “A pass from one at our agency is a pass from all.” Ummmm…ok? 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ #amquerying #litagents

The thought of making a mood board for a pitch event makes me moody. In a bad way. #amquerying #litagent
PSA for writers: if a publisher dangles a contract offer but first wants to know how many of your own books you plan to buy...your answer will 100% determine whether you actually get the contract. Along w/ things like not paying royalties till production costs recouped, this is stealth vanity pub
What if today we staged a full rebellion? No errands, no emails, no chores. Just us, books, and the totally unhinged idea that we can glue our shattered hearts back together with nothing but words and audacity.

You know what’s my favorite? Finding the perfect agent with a #mswl that matches my book perfectly, only to discover they’re closed to submissions. That’s my favorite. For sure. #litagent #amquerying
I understand #litagents are often overwhelmed by pitches. However, I wish they’d limit how many weeks/months a year they’re open to queries instead of only accepting pitches at conferences/events. This equates to making writers pay to pitch. Am I the only person who’s not ok with this? #amquerying
I keep a google doc called “book ideas.” When I used to do freelance journalism, I kept a google doc for every month with my ideas for articles, like “Feb Ideas/pitching,” and at the start of every month I’d create a new doc, transferring any ideas still relevant over to that from the previous mo.
A4: I’m a quiet book person. However, as I’m writing this, I’m remembering that I’ve spent the last 18 months plowing through the first 13 wheel of time books like my life depends on it. I guess I just like good books. 😂😂😂
