Hey, so by law I am supposed to name a lot of individual officers. The Architectβs office has handled that (on interim basis?) but by hanging a 45-page PDF with all the names on its website.

Video of the March 2025 fatal shooting of American citizen Ruben Ray Martinez obtained by CBS News appears to contradict claims by federal officials that Martinez was shot by an ICE agent because he "accelerated" and "intentionally ran over" another agent with his car.
CBS obtained video of the DHS killing of an unarmed man in Texas that DHS concealed for nearly a year, which clearly contradicts claims that he violently rammed anyone. He is shot with his brake lights on, car not moving or barely moving. Another DHS crime.
SCOOP β Body camera footage obtained as a result of my lawsuit against the DC Metropolitan PD confirms DOGE and the Trump administration openly admitted they were entering private property when they raided the building on March 17, 2025. That didn't stop MPD from breaking down the doors.
My report:
Blowtorching diplomatic and humanitarian capacity while burning through military capabilities and alienating allies is malpractice of the highest order by the Secretary of State, the nation's top DIPLOMAT, and by the National Security Advisor. It does not help the military to kill US diplomacy. 14/
π§΅Feels like shouting into the void, but it is essential to note that the Trump/Rubio gutting of the State Department and blowtorching of US diplomatic capacity and credibility is an accelerant to this spiraling war and will seriously undercut US/allied efforts to pick up the pieces after. 1/
People are rightly concerned about the idea that decisions to go to war might turn on the Presidentβs whim, on his opinion, alone, that Iran was βgoing to attack.β

I think LLMs have uses, but "1,000 targets, including a girls elementary school we hit twice with precision munitions" is indeed representative of their state-of-the-artβand likely a fundamental limitation of the technology.
Sometimes sloppiness is okay; sometimes it's 160 dead children.
Tell me a random fact about yourself that sounds fake but is 100% true.

Per The Economist/YouGov, half of Americans support ABOLISHING ICE.
Literally, "abolishing."

For years on my old blog I published the names of servicemembers who died in Iraq & Afghanistan. No other outlets were.
These are the first 4 Americans to die in the Iran War.
Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35
Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42
Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39
Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20
23% among GOP, wow
According to Rubio: 1. Leader of weaker ally (Country A) tells leader of stronger ally (Country B) that it is determined to attack Country C. 2. Country B fears that if this happens, Country C will attack both Countries A & B. 3. So Country B goes ahead and attacks Country C too. (Rather than telling Country A: Donβt do it.) Obviously in this case A=Netanyahu/Israel; B=Trump/US; C=Islamic Iran. Any other historical scenario that matches what Rubio has laid out?
Calling diplo/military historians:
Have attached summary of what seems to be Rubio's rationale [sic] for why US had to attack *now.*
What's the closest comparison in US or other history of a major power following the logic Rubio claims prevailed here?
Actual questionβlooking for compare/contrast.
Itβs been a while, so quote this skeet with your favourite $20 dollar word.
Iβm going to start in hopes you all yβall escalate:

1/9. In 2020 Iran did try to interfere with the presidential election.
Itβs insane this is legal. People around Trump are profiting off war and death. Iβm introducing legislation ASAP to ban this.
How to understand war with Iran? We must get away from propaganda. Facts suggest two interpretive frameworks: a foreign war as a mechanism to destroy democracy at home; and a foreign war as an element of personal corruption by the president of the United States.

Now that CNN and WBD are set to become state media in a sale to Paramount/Oracle/TikTok, it is especially important to support independent media.

This blind man - a refugee from Burma - was dropped off by Border Patrol at a Tim Horton's in Buffalo, NY.
In the middle of February.
A mile from a home where he no longer lived.
While his relatives were searching for him.
Cops found his body 5 days later
