I personally don't like the idea lf using christian angels in D&D, but if you're gonna do it, I would argue you should modify a beholder statblock and descriptions a little bit so you can have a more biblically accurate looking angel. Be not afraid? No, make your players afraid of angels.

Its a combination of not everyone fully internalizing the rules yet, us often going weeks without entering the Challenge phase (thus needing a refresher), and having many minor actions, we get really tripped up. We only have 2.5 hours session, so at this speed, Challenges take up a lot of gameplay.
@riseupcomus.bsky.social any tips on speeding up HMtW contests? The campaign I play in has a limited time frame each week and everg round is taking us at least 30 minutes. We're floating some house rules, but I was curious if you had any recommendations first.

New hairbrained (and possibly cursed) ttrpg idea: a Shadowdark spinoff that very obviously is trying to emulate Kingdom Hearts. Does this make sense beyond both having darkness as central themes (but in very different ways)? No, not at all. But very little about KH is logical anyway, so who cares?
