The #cellular Christmas tree is starting to get shape. I welded a pyramid with rebar and wrapped the lights around it. On Walter (www.quickspot.io) there now runs a simple snake like animation. I'm looking forward to building a cellular backend for the tree and attach some sensors!
I made a small video of my SPL sensor, this shows how fast LTE-M can connect to the network and transmit SPL and network data over to the cloud.

Cool, I'm working on a similar project based on Walter (github.com/daanpape/wal...). Instead of a tree I'm making a piramid, I'm going to try that pixel mapping technique.
Now that 'Sinterklaas' came by here in Belgium we can shift focus on Christmas. Yesterday my WS2812B light string arrived so now it's time to use Walter to control it. I'll keep you up-to-date here and on github github.com/daanpape/wal...

Walter (www.quickspot.io) fits perfectly on it's Walter Feels carrier board which is completely open source and drawn in @kicad.org The carrier board contains LT4015 power managment, RS232, RS485, CAN, I2C, GPIO, 12Vout, 3.3Vout, 5.0Vout, temperature, humidity, pressure, 6 DoF and CO2. #iot #gateway

What is #cellulariot? It's a question that I get a lot. For me it means LTE Cat-M (LTE-M) and LTE Cat-NB (NB-IoT), these are also the 2 techniques found on #walter (www.quickspot.io). But for others it is more high speed like LTE Cat 1(bis) or (e)RedCap found in 5G SA networks. What do you think?
