So Iran now has, perhaps for the first time, information about the location of our most sensitive covert sites in the region.
A completely foreseeable, unnecessary consequence of unnecessary war with Iran.
People need to understand that by attacking Iran, the βAmerican sons and daughtersβ Trump is putting in danger are not just members of the military itβs *your* kids.
This is a big reason previous presidents didnβt do this.
And because we bombed a school, terrorists might try to retaliate in kind.
βA DOJ source told the Miami Herald that agents found her to be credibleβand that they would not have interviewed her four times if they thought she was lying.β

Saaaaaaame and this taillight style is all over Hong Kong.
If we survive this, I really hope parents take a long look at how they are teaching empathy to their children. It's so obvious that that is the missing ingredient in huge chunks of the population, amplified by social media algorithms and cultural rewards for reactions rather than thoughtfulness.
βThe 312-foot Dena and its 130-member crew, many of them musicians in the Iranian navy band, had just finished participating in an Indian government naval exercise and cultural exchange that the U.S. Navy had also participated in and were on the way home on Wednesday.β
When we visited the Korean DMZ we were told that there were two towers on the northern side that were recording us at all times.
If we looked, waved or otherwise acknowledged them weβd be used in propaganda.
My tour group was more responsible about not becoming regime propaganda than the SecDef.
Find yourself a life partner who can roast you so mercilessly with a single line that you laugh every time it comes to mind.
One time I was annoyed that my wife didnβt remember a Fun Fact conversation weβd had earlier and she responded: βDo you realize the sheer number things you say in a day?β
It was a burn so excellent I put it in a book.
This is not accurate. In fact, no country required its submarines to rescue survivors, due to the risk of surfacing and/or limited space to keep prisoners in the very small, cramped subs. What they were expected to do was not attack survivors in the water.
You know how American intelligence was pretty excited to do to the USSR in Afghanistan what Soviet intelligence did to the US in Vietnam?
YUP.
Gonna hit tourism in the US/EUROPE hard too since many of the cheaper, one-stop flight routes from Asia to Europe and America pass through Qatar and Dubai.
Recently thereβs been an upswell of tourists from Asia as air travel has become more affordable, partly due to these multi-stop routes.
And, this! For context, so far 51 chicks have hatched, and are alive, this season. Which is how many kΔkΔpΕ were alive in 1995.

That looks great, and fun lore!
Really excited about this, since Jude is great and seeing her take on Scottish folklore is really exciting.
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a hobbyist in possession of a Necron, must be in want of a can of Leadbelcher.
Still there and still gorgeous, though the interiors are pretty broken down.

CNNomes.
Claude, ask ChatGPT if Gemini is lying to me
FWIW since this whole mess started Iβve been doing a lot of work handwritten in notebooks, because typing on the distraction machine has often gotten to be too much in the last few days.
Also @hankgreen.bsky.socialβs Focus Friend has been a big help time blocking work instead of reading articles.
Felt like I was going insane watching people accept an AI model's explanation for why that same AI model committed a war crime.
I guarantee you that strike packages on Iranian bases have been in place for years. The military doesnβt need AI to make a mistake like this.
Back in 1999 the US bombed a Chinese embassy in Belgrade thinking it was a weapons importer 440m away on the same street.

This is Claude conflating an NPR article on the school bombing that doesnβt mention AI with a Washington Post article on AI targeting that doesnβt mention the school.
Iβd wait for media to formally link these.
Guarantee you the US military worked up strike packages on Iranian military bases LONG before their integration of targeting AI, and similar cases of outdated or mistaken information has happened before.
In 1999 the US bombed a Chinese embassy in Belgrade thinking it was a nearby weapons importer.
Hey everyone spreading this should probably pump your breaks for now.
This screenshot is (ironically) output from Claude which is conflating an NPR piece about the school, which doesnβt mention AI, with a Washington Post story on AI targeting that isnβt about the school.

Really this is the fault of whatever government employee thought that the smart play when they couldnβt answer the tax policy question I was researching was to *transfer me directly to the Prime Minister without warning.*
