Book mail day! And what a handsome book it is!
I can’t show you the inside but let me assure you the illustrations are gorgeous. The charcoal and green theme is fantastic.
They all do this. And it feels like a reflection on the humans behind them, whose inflated careers are built on never admitting they don’t know the answer. The ‘smartest people in the room’ if ‘smart’ just means glib and facile, turning out lies with complete conviction.
The honest answer is I don’t know exactly (I’d love to write it!)
Sales will be a factor (if anyone buys a million copies that would do it 😗). Positive reviews/ratings help (and smooth my fragile ego)
Ghaz’s book is not a direct sequel, but Grotsnik does have a presence in the novel…

It’s not a direct continuation, but it’s the same character (or at least my take on the same character; Ghaz is a complex fellow).
Philosophically, I think Nate’s exploration of ork psyche is very interesting and something to wanted to build on (or try to anyway!)

Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However, his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed. Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.
