I do wish they'd gone in EITHER the full color or B&W direction though because shooting in it a way that lets the audience choose one or the other means that the cinematography is not actually optimized for either option. You can really see that in the poor contrast here and that worries me.

I'd say do some research on the company/org and it's values, and try to incorporate the language they use to imbue that corporate identity directly into the letter. Lots of candidates will just send a cover letter that is so clearly a template where they simply change the job title and org name.
