1️⃣ Ms El-Neil, Black surgeon, 9/12 suspension for 1 incident 6 yrs ago, NO harm, risk or recurrence

2️⃣ Mr Dixon, white surgeon, 6/12 suspension for MULTIPLE failings - unnecessary surgeries & sexual misconduct. Harm caused, risk of REPETITION

Now we’re finally talking honestly about sexism; sexual misconduct is top of my hot list with intersectionality issues particularly for black women and gay men. No-one can put the genie back in the hat. We are slowly making progress… 💪🏽@collegeofsurgeons.bsky.social is leading the way #equity
