We were actually good friends. I drove her to the letterpress studio in my old VW bug every week; we would talk about art, love, the future and everything. She died of cancer at 33, just a few days after her daughter Asha was born. Margaret's death was such a huge loss, and still remains so painful.
That polaroid was taken just outside of her flat. We used to work together once a week at a letterpress studio in Berkeley. Margaret was such a beautiful and kind person who is greatly missed.
