A relatively small Amanita muscaria grows out of dark brown soil and is surrounded by light green moss on the ground. It stands about three and a half inches tall and is about an inch and a half wide at the thickest part of the cap. The stipe is fibrous and white. The cap, covered in pointy raised soft yellow patches, is reddish-orange that fades to deep red at the top.
Loved this chunky little Amanita muscaria. My favorite part is the webby detail around the patches on the cap

A porcini, a choice edible mushroom, grows out of abundant vibrant green moss. Its base - a mixture of splotchy light and dark brown - is very wide, around five inches. The base tapers off underneath the cap to be a little under four inches wide. The cap, which is uniformly dark brown and slightly dimpled in texture, is the same width of the bottom of the stipe. The caps margins curl down towards the stipe.
What a plump porcini! Love that its base is as wide as its cap ππβπ«

Growing out of tons of green fluffy moss, a very large mushroom with a thick off-white stipe, a small skirt underneath the cap, and a very wide umbrella-like cap leans to the right. Most of the cap is a light yellowish-brown color, but the very top of it is dark brown. The gills underneath the cap are tightly packed and are also off-white, appearing like pages in a book.
A good looking Western Yellow-veiled Amanita, Amanita augusta, will always get photographed if I'm nearby

Bright sunlight highlights vibrant green moss, a small light brown mushroom, and the main subject, a large Amanita muscaria. Amanita muscaria is a tall mushroom with a long and thick roughly-textured white stipe and a bright red, dome-shaped cap. The cap is covered in raised white patches which just barely allow the bright red to show through between them.

A very tall mushroom - standing almost a foot tall, with a thick white stipe and a large, spherical yellow cap - grows in front of a wall of blue-green and yellow lichen and dead moss. The large yellow cap, which at its margins is just barely separated from the stipe, is covered in raised white patches.
The lichen and moss surrounding this beautiful yellow Amanita created an awesome scene

Cortinarius camphoratus is the latin name, I posted a similar one a few days back. Could be wrong! I've definitely ID'd incorrectly before. They grow near my home frequently and iNaturalist agrees with the ID in the photos I've taken. They also seem to be common in my area on the Oregon Coast.

Growing among light brown fallen fir needles, a relatively small white and purple mushroom is centered. Its stipe is mostly white, but due to its rough and fibrous nature, you can see a light purple color underneath the initial layer. Small parts of the white stipe flare out, almost like the collar of a shirt, near the cap. The cap, which is dull white, isn't fully opened yet. Light purple webby flesh connects it to the stipe.
Another goatcheese webcap, but I like this shot more than the other. I love its Dracula collar, scratches on it, and light purple color

A mushroom with a stipe that fades from yellow at its base to white at the top, and a light purple cap, lays on its side on the ground. The focus of this image is the veil, a thin layer of material that covers the gills underneath the cap. The veil on this mushroom, a slime spike, is clear like glass, but with a slight texture to it that just barely distorts the view of the gills.

A tall red and white mushroom grows in front of stringy green moss that hangs down from a wall of dirt in the background. This mushroom, Amanita muscaria, stands about 10 inches tall. Its stipe is thick and white with a rough-looking texture. Its cap is dome shaped, reddish-orange, and covered in slightly separated raises white patches.

A large mushroom with inverted gills that flare upward instead of downward grows out of the ground, which is covered in bright orange pine needle duff. The gills are a magnificent blue-green color after aging. The mushroom's color starts as vibrant orange and over time turns into the blue-green color we see in this shot. Hints of its original orange color are seen in spots throughout the gills.
Thanks for showing off your gorgeous green gills! Lactarius aurantiosordidus turns a beautiful blue-green as it ages ππ

This mushroom, growing out of dark soil and light green moss, is called plums and custard. The entire mushroom, other than the gills, which we can't see from this straight-on shot, is a light reddish-pink color with occasional spots of soft yellow. It stands about 3 inches tall. Its flesh is covered with extremely short fuzz.
This rosy-pink beauty is called plums and custard, Tricholomopsis rutilans. In spite of its yummy name, it's not recommended to eat it

A small mushroom grows up and to the right out of slightly sloped dark brown soil. Its stipe is rough and fibrous. Its cap is smooth and not fully grown yet, appearing connected tightly with the stipe. Its color is a silvery gray and light purple, or lilac.
Fairly confident this is the goatcheese webcap (what a name!) - Cortinarius camphoratus. Known for this lilac color and a strong odor π

Growing among vibrant green moss, a small mushroom is centered. Its tan-colored stipe is thick and stands about 3 inches tall. Its cap is dome-like but slightly narrow. The cap's color is a dark brown that almost appears dark gray and is covered in brownish-yellow, nearly flat patches. Tiny holes from bugs spot its cap in a few places.
This Amanita augusta is so small! I think the humidity dropped during its growth, preventing it from getting any bigger

Growing on slightly sloped dark brown soil that's covered in sticks and fir needles, a very tall white and orange-red mushroom stands in front of dark green moss. The very white stipe, which is somewhat roughly textured, stands about 8 inches tall. A small frill of white mushroom flesh hangs from the intersection of the stipe and cap and has yellow edges. The white wart-covered cap is dome-shaped and ranges from orange at the edge to red at the top.
What a nice skirt (or scarf?) this beautiful Amanita muscaria has! π§£

This photo shows the gills of a mushroom that lays on the ground on its side. The gills are very tightly packed and emanate from the stipe in a straight line, only to be come very wavy right before they connect to the underside of thr cap. The light brown margin of the cap is visible as it curls down towards the base of the mushroom.
Really loved the way the gills looked on this stumpy mushroom. Their shape reminds me of flames π₯
