That was kinda always the point about masculinity though. No matter how childish and insecure you behave, how psychologically and socially counterproductive, you should be celebrated. Like, any Arnold Schwarzenegger movie is like that.

Today marks the 3rd anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. SUCHO has now made publicly available the 50 TB of cultural heritage data archived from websites ranging from national archives to local museums, 3D tours of churches to children’s art centers. www.sucho.org/press-releas...
The politician currently poised to become the next chancellor in Germany (Friedrich Merz) said today:
"We won't be impressed or influenced by all the statisticians and all the skeptics and all the critics and all the critical zeitgeist."
In his last speech before the election tomorrow […]
The only thing we can do:
Building communities with mutual aid & standing to fight.
(yes, those are one thing, one doesn't exist without the other)
Auch anderweitig ist diese Bezeichnung problematisch.
Er setzt damit Jüdinnen_Juden mit dem Staat Israel gleich. Das ist eine Form von Antisemitismus auch unabhängig von dieser Vorgeschichte.
NEWSY: The White House confirms tonight that Elon Musk is NOT the administrator of DOGE and is not even technically part of it.
He's a "senior adviser to the president" like Anita Dunn, they say. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
Screen caps of Musk’s now password-protected DEI•gov site (hosted by Automattic) that lists government waste using seemingly-LLM-generated claims and which has already had one entry debunked in replies:

Smells like propaganda in waiting.
Hi, I got the contents before the WP-template:
See here: archive.org/details/chan...
and here: bsky.app/profile/lava...
See the backup here (and on many more places locally):

I got the content before they put up this template - it is krass and vile:

Support local libraries. We’re witnessing censorship on a massive scale. Digital scrubbing is modern day equivalent of book burning
Our ability to get accurate info about public health, science, history, LGBTQ & marginalized groups is under threat
Libraries will be critical part of the resistance
this is all considered and dealt with
Explicit antisemitic attitudes are now much more common among young voters - 18 year old registered voters are now ~5x more likely to say that they have an unfavorable view of the Jewish people than 65 year olds.
Anyway, this is a depressing thread. But it shouldn't be demoralizing. The first step to addressing a problem is recognizing that it exists. Only then can you begin to fight it. That's where we are—or ought to be—with American antisemitism. No more illusions. And that's a good thing.
I will put this as simply as I can: If you decide to hate all Jews or Muslims or whoever because someone from that group wrongly called you a bigot over your political views, you are just a bigot and the person was probably right about you.
