Their fundamental problem with mail in ballots has always been that they are hand marked and auditable. If there's fraud you can catch it. You can't digitally flip a vote without risking getting caught.
It's the same reason election security experts call for hand marked ballots at the booth too.
The US is on the way to a novel government structure analogous to a corporate entity whose services can be leased by any sufficiently wealthy actor.

It not perfect, but because it's publically owned it's way better than the corp/billionaire owned major media outlets in the US, which increasingly act as a mouthpiece for the interests of the very rich, and by extension the Trump administration.

Without disagreeing, a suggestion: change your media. NPR, the economist, everything Mark Elias is doing, BBC, the Atlantic, most of the Canadian press, etc. There still good media out there and it need our support.

For a brighter outlook, note that coming generation is also learning about politics from candidates wsith strong social media presence. Some are fantastic. Kat Abughazaleh, Telerico, AOC, etc.
Supporting war crimes; banking for war criminals; supplying war criminals; doing PR to cover for war crimes; etc...
It takes a village to commit atrocity, and everyone (that has a real choice) is culpable.

Robert Malone has a long list of claims that were demonstrated to be at best baseless.
Also, the lyme disease outbreak is (not surprisingly) linked to increased tick migration, which is probably related to warmer climates, and certainly not engineered in a lab.

It's invariably one of three moments: when some deeply held identity (usually one that makes them feel superior) is contradicted by data and a person has to chose between science and identity; when science threatens a revenue stream; or as a kid after your parents experienced one of the above.
