at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter if your advice is good or if the writing is bad. people are doing it for fun. the pressure to be good should be kept away from hobbies unless the person who’s doing it specifically wants it.

nobody in fandom thinks it’s normal to go up to someone who’s drawing for fun and say “your drawing fucking sucks, here’s what you should have done” but somehow fic writers are supposed to be thankful for all the unnecessary shit they get

"Artists peak at 30", "30 under 30", "by 30 you should" ridiculous. Arts industries capital craves young people to exploit and burn out. It doesn't want older artists thriving and guiding the young. It also doesn't want artists to exist. Stop letting cannibals tell you you only matter on a plate.
