Classic talk on informatics ROI #CIC25 - organizations like to say theyβre data-driven but gravity will pull them toward data-naive or data-dismissiveness. Informaticists must capture their impact on outcomes, financial benefit, efficiencies and (harder to measure) cultural impact - Dr. Joel Gordon
At #CIC25 Drs Priyanka Solanki and Jonah Feldman present the @nyulangone.bsky.social approach to involving clinicians in editing Gen AI discharge summaries, beyond error-checking it ensures the human aspects of care shine through

7 professionals happily catching up :)
Some of the awesome AMIA #CIC25 crew. Fueled by coffee, some large chunks of cauliflower, and about a dozen churros. :) @vlily.bsky.social
Best thing about an AMIA conference? (Aside from catching up with my brilliant colleagues??) βOh look, theyβre having the same issues we are! We arenβt alone!β Toughest part? βOmg, theyβre having the same issues we are. I was really hoping someone had solved this alreadyβ¦β #CIC25
Alerts on the record telling docs theyβre responsible for the documentation theyβre signing feels redundant at best. Those who bother to read that statement are the ones already editing their notes. Also, AI warnings/labels are the new Prop 65; discuss. #CIC25 (p.s. Read b4 you sign!!)
Bumping this post for #CIC25. This was a general guide that I made for the Annual Symposium, but a lot of this will be relevant to people at the Clinical Informatics Conference, where I will be recruiting from to help boost our numbers here!

Purely for academic reasons, I need a list of fonts that do not differentiate between the capital letter βiβ and the number one. And a list of some that gradually progress to greater differences. Again, purely for academic reasons.

1 surprising thing I learned when I was writing my manifesto for the Comics Devices Library is that reading comics - or rather, reading images in sequence to construct and apprehend meaning - is itself a difficult and unique literacy + comprehension skill that does not come naturally to most people.
Some #BREAKING news
HTI-2 Final Rule is published. Big move from Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy.
Worth noting that they have spun out the Protecting Care Access information blocking exception into a separate rule, currently in review at OMB.

So, #HTI2 just dropped. You can find my feedback on what's in the rule here: motorcycleguy.blogspot.com/2024/12/hti2...
www.beckershospitalreview.com/healthcare-i... I can happily attest to this. We have a great IT leadership team that advocates for our colleagues and the work we do.
