I think it does help I started out I fanfic so I'm used to ppl being rude and unhinged lol and it helps this is a pen name so I feel more freedom than I may otherwise 🤔

I saw a post recently on tumblr that was along these same lines. About how books (particularly ya, but prob other genres too) lately feel like the writer is afraid of the reader. There were parts of my own writing where I noticed this happening thanks to this post, so I've tried to just let go.
