The City of Springfield is planning to cut $500,000 or 22% from the library's budget in 2026. This would mean no new books, fewer events, and a reduction in open hours. Show up at Springfield City Hall on Monday, 12/8 at 6 pm to speak at the public hearing. We must protect our library!

Oregonians got some good news today that their SNAP benefits have come through. It's unacceptable that the Trump administration originally refused to release the SNAP funding even after ordered to do so by a court order. It should never have come to this.
