the entire line up of monster guys so far...

Soren, a merman with reddish-blonde hair, a blue tail, and a muscular build, swims back as if to taunt, with semi-transparent images of his head expressing seduction.

Rogue, a cecaelia (half man, half octopus), with choppy black hair, brown skin, and magenta colour tentacles, looks unfazed. The tentacle to his right holds his staff with an emerald stone in it's hook.

Rogue remains stubborn, arms akimbo, while two of his tentacles curl to form a shape of a heart, betraying his feelings.

Soren taunts Rogue for his tentacles' behaviour, while Rogue whirls around and angrily reprimands them.

I'm not sure if it's canon but in my head how the scene goes is that the characters are singing "The Sun Sits Low" from a Little Night Music and it actually stops the sun from setting. Not sure if it's canon.

It's cheating to say but all of it. I like the concept of Ink, I like the different fields of magic and how there's natural magic versus arcanology. I love the limit and danger I put for poetic magic. I just love it.

Weakest are elves with weak powers, creatures with weak powers, and people who took one course in arcanology. Most are mid-level mages and of course you have the skilled masters. Gods of knowledge are the most powerful and the main character is pretty far up.

Most people have recorded mythology and history because it is a college degree but the Main character has an intimate knowledge of it's history.

Most arcanologist are taught in college, some have private tutors and very rarely are they self taught. Main character was sort of born knowing arcanology, very precocious. Nature magic is random and you just have it if you have it.

Main character definitely can and members of his family. A lot of minor characters can as well. Think of being an arcanologist as being a doctor or lawyer, there's quite a bit of them but they're not the majority population.

In the first story for this world it's kind of like dishonored 1 where it's a huge part of the world building and does affect the story but it isn't the drive for the plot. In later stories it is more involved.

Don't really have a snippet but a literature arcanologist might write themselves an umbrella on a rainy day. Music arcanologist will hum a lullaby to help their kid fall asleep.
