Sadly, very similar to what we see here in the UK and why this needs to be dealt with legally. We at BABAO continue to bring this to the public forefront to stop these sales! #britishassociationofbiologicalanthropolgyandosteoarchaeology www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...

Once again, Indigenous remains being sold at auction, this time in Germany. If we can stop it here in the UK then perhaps other countries will follow. This is what we have been working towards for a long time but we wonβt give up! #BABAOtaskforceonthetradeandsaleofhumanremains

Archaeologists may have found the world's oldest mummies: 10,000 years ago, groups smoke-dried their ancestors to preserve them. π§ͺπΊ
Our medieval curator Alison Ray introduces Rawlinson Bodleian Library MS. Rawl. D. 252...a 15th Century necromancer's journal.
This manuscript contains spells written in Latin and Middle English, and would have served as a reference for a professional sorcerer.

Iβm happy itβs being discussed
I just want to take a moment to acknowledge the years of hard work by volunteers trying to educate the public about the trade and sale of human remains.
We have been doing the groundwork, writing the letters, publishing, public talks, surveys, speaking with the HTA & Indigenous communities, and web tracking. BABAO has not been mentioned today in Parliament but we care and put in the work.
Does anyone not fact check anymore? π€―
