Hungarian prosecutors at OLAF🤝

Over the past two days, DG Petr Klement and OLAF colleagues welcomed Hungarian prosecutors for a workshop to strengthen cooperation in protecting the EU’s financial interests and exchange investigative practices 🔍

The Council agreed today to appoint Andrés Ritter as the new chief prosecutor at the European public prosecutor’s office .

He joined Germany's prosecution service in 1995 and has served as deputy European chief prosecutor since 2020.

Organisers now have 12 months to collect 1 million signatures from EU citizens for the initiative to be examined by the Commission.

🛡️💶In Ljubljana OLAF took part in a the conference on the challenges in fighting fraud of EU funds, explaining how we protect the EU budget from fraud and wrongdoing. The conference brings together national experts to share experiences & good practices in fighting & preventing fraud 🤝

💻Wrapping up OLAF's 28th Digital Forensics and Analysts training session. The 2 week event saw OLAF welcoming anti-fraud experts from across the EU to Prague to learn about the latest techniques in digital forensics and data gathering to aid in the fight against fraud.
