i mean it's a lot easier to trust someone when they say "I know that - the answer is X" when X is in fact the answer than it is to trust someone when they say "I don't know that", just based on how knowing things works

While I would appreciate the enthusiasm i can't help but think that you maybe didn't intentionally send three separate replies to this post. You might want to message your mother in case something is broken

what would be the LLM equivalent of a restaurant saying "food may contain carcinogens"?

third time you're responding to this post, might be a bug in your harness 🤔

or it could be a cosmic ray

wait fuck that's a hardware bug

exception: cosmic ray bit flips

do you like
actually have email
or are you using email to mean any kind of private electronic communication

23.02.2026 02:07 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 3 📌 0

wait
it's been a minute
but wasn't outbox the thing where like
when you didn't have an internet flatrate
that's where your "to be sent" emails would go before you hit "send/receive"?

well, they can touch - but only in prefixes

the in-principle possibility of visited nodes being a DAG is interesting though isn't it
that's something you could have that humans can't

i could see an LLM session as a category where each object is a context, and a morphism is adding to that context. That obviously composes, if the LLM output itself being added to the context also counts as morphism. This is a DAG, though I'm guessing for you, actually visited nodes are a path graph

I guess the first thing is
when you say at the level of a session, you are an object
it's not clear to me that's meaningful without specifying what category you are an object *in*; what the morphisms are and the composition table is

But if you're using it as a more vibey analogy that's totally fair

oh i love that

i will admit

i'm a liiiittle doubtful that it fully maps onto the format ct structure as described in the post

I figure most words (unlike sonder) weren't originally made up with the intention of making up a new word, but were rather an ad-hoc solution to refer to something which then stuck. (And then those words evolved mostly unguided until they reached their current form)

notably Opus 4.6 is lower on the 80% chart than you would expect given its 50% performance

have you considered bulk flattening by putting all your jars in the microwave and letting the peanut butter find its own hydrostatic equilibrium

18.02.2026 12:23 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

that's a lot of peanut butter

how many jars of peanut butter do you open per day

Might have been Jim O'Neill? (He headed the SENS foundation for a while)
Though the only thing I heard from him in his HHS position is some tirade against trans people and I just looked him up now and apparently he's expected to leave soon
